Cadence Care Network of Niles, Ohio, pushed strategic growth into central Ohio in 2025, strengthening its role as one of Ohio’s leading providers of behavioral health and foster care services, officials say.
Despite ongoing workforce shortages, rising costs and heightened demand for its services, Cadence added nearly 150 new staff members across Ohio over two years. Total staffing nears 400, with a third of employees holding clinical licensures.
Cadence acquired Youth Advocate Services, a Columbus-area nonprofit with nearly half a century of serving families and children. Along with the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, Cadence launched early intervention services in Franklin County, giving daily support to 400 families of children under age 3 with developmental delays or disabilities. Early childhood mental health services provide counseling for children up to age 6 and their caregivers. The YAS integration also added 26 foster homes to Cadence’s network.
Renewal for another four years through the Council on Accreditation affirms Cadence’s performance despite rapid growth. Cadence Care also received the GOLD medal in a local newspaper’s Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Mental Health Provider and Bronze for Best Charitable Organization.
The Cadence Coffeehouse and Creperie continued job training at-risk youth and participated in the Mahoning Valley Coffee Trail benefitting the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
Cadence focuses on strengthening foster care and behavioral health services – school based, respite care, psychiatric, art therapy in collaboration with the Helms Foundation, intensive home-based therapy and multisystemic therapy.
