Ketaki Desai, director of eCenter@LindenPointe in Hermitage, Pa., recently returned from an all-expenses-paid trip to Denmark to participate in the nine-day Unleash Innovation Lab. The lab selected 1,000 participants from around the world. It was sponsored by the Danish Government, United Nations organizations and multi-national corporations. The goal was to innovate sustainable development goals in seven areas. Desai’s team focused on education.
Chris Anthony has joined the creative team at iSynergy, a digital marketing agency based in Youngstown, as senior web designer. Anthony brings a focus on front-end web design while expanding iSynergy’s in-house video production capabilities. “iSynergy is a great place to bring your brand’s challenges,” he says. “We like to push the boundaries with our creative but your message is the message. My goal is to make beautiful design live, breathe and not end up at a 404 error.”
Brian Lyons has joined Cassidy Advertising & Consulting as an account manager and sales representative. Lyons is a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley who spent his time at Youngstown State University honing his marketing skills in the classroom and in real-world applications as an intern, says agency owner Laura Cassidy. Lyons spent a year working as an administrative fellow/development intern at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
Jeff Kelly, a veteran broadcaster in the Youngstown radio market, has joined the Flynn Auto Group as marketing manager. Kelly replaces Patty Morris who has retired after 27 years with the company. “It’s exciting to use my experience in broadcast media in a new direction with a great organization,” Kelly says. The David A. Flynn Automotive Group consists of six automobile and truck dealerships in Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
Lindsay Renea (Benton) has accepted a position as assistant professor in dance at Alabama State University. She will begin teaching at the historically black college Aug. 16 while remaining as the artistic director and CEO of the Lindsay Renea Dance Theatre and Foundation in Youngstown. Renea earned her BFA from Howard University and was a principal dancer with Garth Fagan Dance in New York. For the past 18 months, she has served as interim executive director of Inspiring Minds-Youngstown.
Louis V. Colella has been named president of advisory services for JFS Wealth Advisor, a wealth management firm based in Hermitage, Pa. Colella’s promotion from senior lead adviser and managing principal was announced by Robert C. Jazwinski, CEO. “My vision is to help create a firm of advisers and client service teams that is regarded by clients to be their ‘first’call’ for any and all financial questions, decisions or challenges,” Colella says.
