YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Choffin Career & Technical Center’s Automated Manufacturing program is inviting local manufacturers to an open meeting from 4-6 p.m. April 29 in Room B-135 at the school.
The event will give employers a firsthand look at the program’s industry-standard equipment and curriculum, which already includes Smart Automation certifications in robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, sensor logic and more.
Manufacturers will have an opportunity to provide information on which technical skills matter most for entry-level hires, what emerging technologies are on their radar and where collaboration opportunities – internships, job shadowing, plant tours – would be most effective.
The feedback will help shape how Choffin trains the next generation of manufacturing talent in the region.
