RAVENNA, Ohio – Business owners, professionals and community leaders will have an opportunity to network and learn more about the resources available through the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce during this month’s Coffee and Connections event.
The event will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday at the 7 17 Credit Union branch at 271 S. Chestnut St. Representatives from the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce will serve as the featured speakers.
Coffee and Connections is a monthly networking series presented by 7 17 Credit Union and The Business Journal. The program is designed to bring together business professionals from across northeastern Ohio while providing educational discussions on topics affecting local businesses and communities.
Since launching earlier this year, the series has featured a variety of speakers and topics, featuring issues affecting the regional business climate, including housing and workforce development, the impact of college athletics on local communities, challenges facing small businesses and business fraud and cybersecurity.
At a May event in Vienna, Sgt. Mike Altiere of the Warren Police Department joined 7 17 Credit Union’s fraud team to discuss trends in business fraud and strategies companies can use to protect themselves from scams and cybercrime.
Thursday’s program will spotlight the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce and the role it plays in supporting local businesses, fostering economic development and creating opportunities for professional growth and collaboration throughout the region.
In addition to the featured presentation, attendees will have time to connect with fellow professionals and expand their business networks.
The Coffee and Connections series rotates among 7 17 Credit Union branches throughout its footprint.
The event is free to attend, though reservations are encouraged. Attendees also receive digital-only access to The Business Journal for seven months and 17 days.
