WARREN, Ohio – 717 Credit Union and The Business Journal will host the next installment of their Coffee and Connections networking series Thursday at the credit union’s Howland branch.
The free event will take place from 8-9 a.m. at 717 Credit Union, 100 Brewster Drive SE. Reservations are encouraged.
Coffee and Connections brings together local business owners, professionals and community leaders for networking and conversations about their businesses and the region.
Unlike earlier events that included featured speakers or themes, the Howland gathering will focus on networking among attendees.
717 Credit Union launched Coffee and Connections in partnership with The Business Journal as a monthly series hosted at branches throughout northeastern Ohio. The initiative is designed to give businesses an informal setting to make connections, share their stories and build relationships.
“By bringing people together each month, we hope to foster strong relationships and create a space where local business can thrive,” John Demmler, president and CEO of 717 Credit Union, said when the series launched.
As part of the partnership, Coffee and Connections attendees receive free digital-only access to The Business Journal for seven months and 17 days.
Additional Coffee and Connections events are scheduled for Sept. 17 at 717 Credit Union’s Hubbard branch, Oct. 15 at its Wallhaven branch, Nov. 19 at its downtown Akron branch and Dec. 17 at its Streetsboro branch.
