POLAND, Ohio – Comcast has connected 12,000 homes and businesses in Poland and Boardman to multigigabit, symmetrical internet.

As a new connectivity provider in the village of Poland and Poland and Boardman townships, Xfinity brings internet, mobile, entertainment and smart home services together to serve customers, a news release states.

Residents can click HERE and enter their address for service availability and construction updates. They can also visit the new Xfinity Store at 2535 W. State St., New Castle, Pa., to explore Xfinity Internet plans with a five-year price guarantee and WiFi Gateway included, as well as deals on Xfinity Mobile. Business leaders can connect with a Comcast Business expert in-store.

The three communities join the more than 64 million homes and businesses nationwide with access to Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services, the release states.

“Given today’s digital age, we must provide our community with great connectivity options at great prices,” said Eric Ungaro, Poland Township trustee. “We’re proud to have Xfinity and Comcast Business as a new provider for those who live and work in our community.”

Xfinity plans to connect more than 18,000 new homes and businesses across Poland and Boardman. The expansion is part of Comcast’s latest investments to bring the network to more of eastern Ohio. Comcast recently brought services to more homes and businesses in Belmont and Jefferson counties and will be connecting homes and businesses in Springfield Township soon.

“We’re thrilled to bring Xfinity and Comcast Business to the people and businesses of Poland and Boardman,” said Ricky Frazier Jr., regional senior vice president. “With multigigabit speeds from our advanced network, cost-saving wireless options with Xfinity Mobile and a five-year price guarantee on Xfinity Internet, we’re offering Ohioans new ways to stay connected, productive and entertained. We look forward to being an active part of the community as the expansion continues.”

Comcast says its commitment to communities goes beyond building the network and aims to increase economic mobility for the local community and its residents. It created Internet Essentials, a broadband adoption program that offers eligible households low-cost, high-speed internet and affordable computers. Additionally, Comcast has made significant investments into nonprofits focused on helping people build digital skills, expanding WiFi-connected Lift Zones and funding connectivity and internet adoption programs.
