Columbiana is a town of big hearts and even bigger ideas. From small-business ingenuity to grassroots community initiatives, our county has always been a place where conversations matter.
But in today’s fast-paced world – where opinions often clash and meaningful dialogue gets drowned out – we need more spaces where thoughtful ideas can thrive. That’s where TEDxColumbiana comes in.
Over the years, TEDx events have brought together visionaries, entrepreneurs, scientists and artists across the globe to share ideas worth spreading. Now, we’re excited to bring that same spirit to Columbiana, offering a platform to share bold thinking and fresh perspectives right here in our hometown.
When the pandemic shut down in-person events, TEDx organizers around the world found new ways to keep the conversation going. Now, it’s time to bring TEDx back into the room – this time, in the heart of Columbiana.
We’re proud to introduce TED Live to Columbiana – an exclusive event where residents can watch the globally renowned TED Conference in real time. This year’s viewing event will take place from 2-4 p.m. April 19 at the Columbiana Arts Theater, bringing world-changing ideas to our doorstep.
Why does this matter for Columbiana? Because ideas fuel progress, and progress starts with us. Our community faces real challenges – economic shifts, sustainability concerns, mental health needs – and TEDxColumbiana can be a launchpad for tackling them together, one idea at a time.
As we step into this exciting new chapter, we invite you to be part of the conversation. Whether you attend this event, watch a TED talk or bring your own voice to the stage, your perspective matters. Let’s inspire one another. Let’s spark change. Let’s go beyond boundaries – right here in Columbiana.
