CANFIELD, Ohio – Community Behavior Consulting, a behavioral health organization that provides applied behavior analysis and mental health services, has earned the Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation from the Joint Commission.

The Joint Commission helps ensure health care organizations adhere to leading quality and safety practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to better patient care.

“Joint Commission congratulates Community Behavior Consulting for achieving accreditation by demonstrating its focus on delivering safe and effective care of the highest quality and value,” said Ken Grubbs, executive vice president of accreditation and certification operations and chief nursing officer for the Joint Commission. “Through the accreditation process, we worked closely with Community Behavior Consulting to enable and affirm the highest standards of health care quality and patient safety. Together, we are elevating care for all patients, and we appreciate Community Behavior Consulting’s collaboration throughout this process.”

Community Behavior Consulting underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey in August. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission surveyors assessed compliance across key areas such as treatment and services, leadership, environment of care and performance improvement.

“This accreditation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality and safest behavioral health care to our clients,” said Jen Gonda, owner and director of Community Behavior Consulting. “It reflects the incredible work of our entire team and our dedication to continuous improvement.”

In addition to the accreditation, Gonda will represent the organization at upcoming statewide and national behavioral health events. Her participation will spotlight best practices in the field, share insights from local community work and advocate for underserved populations across the region.

“It’s an honor to contribute to conversations that shape the future of behavioral health,” Gonda said. “I’m proud to represent the incredible work happening in our communities and look forward to bringing those insights to a broader stage.”
