BOARDMAN, Ohio – Compassionate Wigs & Salon 224 will celebrate the opening of its new home at 1305 Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite 4.
The business will have a ribbon cutting at noon Friday, followed by an open house until 3 p.m.
The new location provides a warm, welcoming and private environment where owner Patricia McSuley can continue serving women experiencing hair loss while also offering traditional salon services to the community, a news release states.
Compassionate Wigs specializes in private, one-on-one wig and hair topper fittings for women experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, thinning hair and other causes. Clients receive personal guidance and education on selecting, wearing and caring for wigs and alternative hair.
“As a 16-year breast cancer survivor, I understand how emotional hair loss can be,” McSuley said. “Compassionate Wigs grew from my own experience and my desire to help other women through that journey. I truly believe we are blessed to be a blessing, and it is a privilege to help women feel more confident and like themselves again.”
McSuley hopes to continue growing Compassionate Wigs as a trusted local resource, particularly for women undergoing cancer treatment and others navigating the emotional challenges that can accompany hair loss.
“I want women to know there is a local place where they can receive personal, compassionate help during what can be a very difficult time,” McSuley said. “I also hope our new location allows us to reach and serve even more women throughout the Mahoning Valley.”
The business also offers traditional salon services, including haircuts, color, highlights, waxing and Brazilian blowouts.
