BOARDMAN, Ohio – Consumers National Bank has confirmed that property purchased on South Avenue will be the site of its newest full-service branch.

Consumers, which is headquartered in Minerva, purchased the 1-acre property at 7430 South Ave. for $675,000, according to records from the Mahoning County Auditor’s Office. The location is located on the northeast corner of a parking lot in front of Mr. Anthony’s.

Consumers opened Boardman Loan Center in January 2023. After growing its deposits in Boardman to $1.5 billion and building relationships in Mahoning County, the bank in July 2025 announced its plans to expand further into the Mahoning County market.

Consumers received approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to operate the full-service branch.

The new South Avenue location is expected to add about five full- and part-time jobs. The design plans reported include a traditional bank lobby, night depository, drive-thru teller and drive-up ATM, as well as offices for branch relationship officers. Additionally, the building will house mortgage loan originators, business bankers and wealth management partners.

At the time of the July 2025 announcement, Consumers expected the new branch to be open in summer 2026.
