Cordray to Headline Lattes and Legislators Sept. 21

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s Lattes and Legislators’ series will feature, Richard Cordray, the Democratic nominee for Ohio governor, Sept. 21.

A lifelong Ohioan born and raised in Grove City, Cordray served for five years as the first-ever director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the federal agency launched in the aftermath of the nation’s financial crisis.

Prior to his appointment to the bureau, Cordray served as Ohio attorney general and as state treasurer prior to that. He also served as a state representative and as Ohio’s first ever Solicitor General.

Cordray was appointed to the bureau by President Barack Obama, who will campaign for Cordray, running mate Betty Sutton and other Ohio Democrats Sept. 13 at a rally in Cleveland.

Lattes and Legislators will take place from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. in YBI’s Tech Block Building #5. Cost to attend is $10 and reservations can be made here.
