SHARON, Pa. – Teresa Trontel, director of Sharon Regional Health System’s Corporate Health Services, said the program has served employers in the Shenango Valley for more than four decades and currently works with about 600 to 650 companies across western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Located in Hermitage, the program provides occupational health services including physicals, drug and alcohol testing, Department of Transportation exams and workers’ compensation care.
During the hospital’s closure, Trontel said many workers had difficulty finding nearby occupational health services and often had to travel outside the region for care. When Sharon Regional reopened in 2025, companies quickly returned, she said, restoring a steady demand for services.
