Council Members to Host Listening Sessions for Rescue Plan Funds
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Two more listening sessions will take place in the next couple of weeks at which residents and neighborhood groups can discuss their priorities for the $82.7 million allocation the city will receive though the American Rescue Plan.
Seventh Ward Councilwoman Basia Adamczak will host a session at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana, 3660 Shirley Road. First Ward Councilman Julius Oliver has scheduled a session for 6 p.m. July 15 at the Covelli Centre Community Room.
Council members already held three listening sessions in June.
City Council representatives as well as members of the city administration and planning team will be in attendance at the July meetings. Printed surveys will be available for attendees to complete. Data gathered from these efforts will be used in creating the city’s plan.
Residents and stakeholders who are not able to attend the in-person meetings over the summer are asked to complete an online survey.
