Covelli Centre, Southwoods Ink Sponsorship Deal
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Southwoods Health has signed a five-year agreement with the Covelli Centre to sponsor the municipal arena’s box office, officials announced today.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for June 1.
Terms of the sponsorship were not announced.
Southwoods, the Boardman-based operator of The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods and Southwoods Imaging, was established in 1996. Its CEO is Ed Muransky, who also operates The Lake Club.
According to the announcement, the Southwoods logo will be seen prominently from Front Street. The company’s “trademark wood paneling is throughout the lobby and the brand’s exposure extends into the arena with a ground-breaking static fascia sign, which uniquely features an LED attachment of the Southwoods’ trees atop the sign,” the announcement states.
The signage project was produced by RL Smith Graphics in Boardman.
The Covelli Center sells about half of its tickets at the box office, which gives the area’s box office sponsorship great presence, says Kelsey Rupert, marketing director.
“Because the box office has a great deal of exposure to the community, we wanted to partner with a locally owned, forward-thinking organization to give that area in the building a strong identity,” Rupert said in a prepared statement. “I don’t think we could have wished for any better of an entity that Southwoods Health because of not only their reputation of excellence in health care but also their commitment to the community.”
