YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is still seeking nominations for its Family-Owned Business Awards.
The Regional Chamber, along with partners Huntington Bank, HBK CPAs and Consultants and Roetzel & Andress, will honor 20 family-owned businesses at the fourth annual Family-Owned Business Recognition Dinner on Feb. 27 at The Lake Club in Poland.
The award categories are: Success in Succession, Social Impact Award, Family-Owned Business Advocate of the Year, Local to National Presence and Growth Story.
One of the honorees will be chosen from each category as the recipient of a special award. More information and a nomination form are available HERE. Submissions are due by Jan. 10.
The Family-Owned Business Program was designed to help family businesses with succession planning, including maximizing value and understanding tax implications, as well as other aspects during the transition of a business. The dinner event showcases the successes and importance of family-owned businesses in the community.
A new program, the CEO Forum, will be introduced at this year’s event. The program will launch in the Mahoning Valley in 2025 and is designed to provide Ohio business leaders with a network of peers who are committed to scaling their business while helping other like-minded C-suite peers succeed. A panel discussion about the CEO Forum will include former U.S. Rep. Steve Stivers, president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, where the program is housed, and Robert Shenton, executive director of the CEO Forum.
