POLAND, Ohio – John York, president of the DeBartolo Corp. and co-chair of the San Francisco 49ers, discussed the lasting impact of the Edward J. DeBartolo Memorial Scholarship Foundation awards and the organization’s commitment to helping students pursue higher education.
York said the scholarship program reflects the vision of Edward J. DeBartolo Sr., who believed education was the key to helping individuals improve their opportunities and build successful futures.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need and community involvement, with applications reviewed by a board before winners are chosen each year.
