WARREN, Ohio – Gov. Mike DeWine joined Warren Mayor Doug Franklin and the Mahoning River Corridor Mayors Association on Monday to highlight ongoing restoration and redevelopment efforts along the Mahoning River.
The event included a guided paddle and the “Momentum on the Mahoning” Ohio 250 Homecoming Picnic, where officials discussed dam removal, riverfront investments and regional collaboration aimed at expanding recreation and supporting economic development.
DeWine also addressed storm damage in Boardman and surrounding areas, saying the state would assess local needs and provide assistance if necessary.
