WARREN, Ohio – Dionne Warwick, one of the most celebrated American singers of all time, will come to the Robins Theatre on Oct. 24 for an 8 p.m. concert.

The six-time Grammy Award winner is known for her many hit records in the 1970s and 1980s, including “Walk on By,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” and “That’s What Friends Are For.”

Tickets range from $120 to $75 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at RobinsTheatre.com and at the box office, 160 E. Market St. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.

An online presale will start at 10 a.m. Thursday for members of Friends of the Robins Theatre. Information on becoming a member can be found at the website.

Discovered by Burt Bacharach and Hal David in 1961, Warwick has earned more than 75 chart hits, over 100 million records sold and six Grammy Awards.

She became the first Black solo female artist of her generation to win the Grammy for Best Contemporary Female Vocal Performance with “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” (1968). Her catalog boasts 18 consecutive Top 100 singles – including “Don’t Make Me Over,” “Alfie,” “Heartbreaker” and “Déjà Vu.”

Beyond the stage, Warwick’s humanitarian work is equally legendary.

Her 1985 charity single “That’s What Friends Are For” raised millions for AIDS research, and she has lent her voice to causes ranging from hunger relief to music education.

Honors include induction into the Grammy Museum, a 2019 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the prestigious Marian Anderson Award for philanthropy.
