WARREN, Ohio – The office building that houses downtown’s Huntington Bank branch was purchased by a Uniontown businessman for $1.1 million.

Trumbull County records show Debo Properties Riverview Office Towers Inc. purchased the property at 108 Main St. SW on July 8. The seller was MVC Plaza Ltd., a unit of Midwest Ventures & Consulting, which had acquired the property in late 2017.

Debo is owned by businessman Babatunde Fafiyebi, according to Cindy Best, a real estate agent with Real Living Brokers Realty Group in Boardman. Fafiyebi, who she described as a longtime client, owns several properties in Ohio and Pennsylvania, she said.

“We’ve got some good things going on in Trumbull County. Business is coming in. It’s going to be a premium office space,” Best said. The building is within a mile of the site where Kimberly-Clark Corp. is constructing a new $880 million plant.

Platz Realty Group marketed the property for five months, said Dan Crouse, an agent with Platz. Crouse and fellow agent Alicia Angelo represented the property. Current tenants include Huntington, which has the building’s entire first floor, Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, a local law firm; and the Trumbull Branch of the Ohio Public Defender’s Office.

As the new owner, Fafiyebi plans to make necessary upgrades to the property and lease the available spaces, Best said.

“His goal is to come in and improve properties for the community. That’s what he thrives at,” she said.
