Eastgate Invites Public to Advisory Board Meeting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Eastgate Regional Council of Governments will hold a meeting Jan. 4 of its Citizens Advisory Board. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at Eastgate’s offices on the 10th floor of City Centre One, 100 E. Federal St. downtown.

During the meeting, which the public is invited to attend, James Kinnick, executive director of Eastgate, will provide an overview of the agency, including services it provides to its members and 2018 initiatives such as priority infrastructure projects and planning activities.

The Citizens Advisory Board provides a forum for the public to participate in the regional planning and decision-making process, Kinnick notes. It is open to residents of Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

The board meets on the first Thursday of the month (except August) to learn about and discuss community topics including legislation, infrastructure projects, and quality of life in the Mahoning Valley. Upcoming topics of the CAB include talent retention, startup businesses, Mahoning River dam removal and Eastgate-funded projects.
