YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Eastgate Regional Council of Governments is exploring ways to support workforce housing for Ultium Cells in Lordstown. The company has proposed building 400 condominiums to house rotating groups of Korean employees for three-year periods.

Plus, Sharon Regional Medical Center has resumed operations under new ownership after closing in January amid Steward Health Care System’s bankruptcy. Backed by an $11 million community-supported loan, Tenor Health Foundation Sharon LLC has restored most hospital services and re-employed over 575 employees.

And the annual Mahoning Valley Warrior event will take place May 31 at the Canfield Fairgrounds, featuring a 5K, autism walk, strongman competition, kids carnival and resource fair.
