YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Steel Valley Postal Customer Council and Northern Ohio Postal Customer Council will host an educational webinar, “Package Shipping Best Practices,” at 11 a.m. Friday.
Attendees will learn the definition of what a package is, the difference between commercial and retail pricing and when to use Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. The webinar will also address the dimensional surcharge and discontinuation of label 888
The webinar will be presented by Bob Tomer, vice president of business development at AMASTI. Tomer is a 25-year veteran of the mailing and shipping industry. He began his career as a mail sorter and driver, later moving through roles as a machine technician, production manager and plant manager before stepping into sales and executive leadership. He helps organizations optimize their workflows using smart, scalable technology. He also serves on the board of the Steel Valley Postal Customer Council.
