AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Erich Zimny has been named vice president and general manager of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.
Zimny entered the gaming industry in racing operations with Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in Charles Town, W.Va., in 2008. During his time in Charles Town, he oversaw racing operations as well as retail sports betting and trading for Penn Interactive, which operates Hollywood Gaming.
Zimny joins the Mahoning Valley property after most recently serving as assistant general manager for Hollywood Columbus, where he had oversight of the property’s gaming operations.
A native of New Jersey, Zimny graduated from Georgetown University and earned a law degree and an MBA at Rutgers University. He also holds a masters of science degree from the University of Arizona.
