CANFIELD, Ohio — The Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio awarded Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Awards to two students.
The scholarships are resented annually by the Ohio Educational Service Center Association to honor Ohio’s top high school seniors.
The ESC of Eastern Ohio awards scholarships to students from Mahoning and Columbiana counties, highlighting students who exceed the standards of this statewide honor.
This year, the ESC of Eastern Ohio recognized:
- Kaylyn Vlosich, a student from Struthers High School, as the Mahoning County recipient. Kaylyn plans to attend Youngstown State University to pursue a degree in nursing.
- Preston Buckingham, a student at Columbiana High School, as the Columbiana County recipient. Preston will attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he plans to major in marine transportation.
“In order to achieve this level of success, these students have demonstrated a commitment to excellence, resilience and grit,” said OESCA Executive Director Craig Burford. “We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and the work ESCs do to support students across the state.”
