CANFIELD, Ohio – Monica Brodigan,  human resources supervisor at the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio, and Andrew Tommelleo, superintendent of Poland Local Schools, highlighted the importance of the educational service center’s job fair, which brought together school districts from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties to recruit employees for the upcoming school year.

The annual event featured about 18 school districts seeking candidates for a wide range of positions, including teachers, substitute teachers and related service roles such as occupational and physical therapists and social workers.

Brodigan said the job fair provides an opportunity for candidates — including recent college graduates and experienced professionals — to meet directly with school representatives and explore openings across multiple districts in one setting.

Tommelleo added that the event allows districts to connect face-to-face with prospective educators while also identifying candidates who are the right fit for their schools, emphasizing the importance of attracting and retaining top talent in a competitive hiring environment.

The event underscores ongoing demand for educators and support staff across the region as schools prepare for the next academic year.
