CANFIELD, Ohio – The Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio, in partnership with the Trumbull County and Columbiana County ESCs, State Support Team Region 5 and RTH Strategic Planning and Consulting, is launching the Aspiring Superintendents Network, an eight-session professional learning series for educators pursuing or possessing a superintendent license.

The series will run from Sept. 6 to June 13 at the ESC of Eastern Ohio offices. It will offer hands-on, job-embedded learning led by experienced educational leaders. Each session is aligned with Ohio superintendent standards and focuses on the real-world challenges and skills required to lead a school district – covering topics such as governance, instructional improvement, school safety and community engagement.

Participants will:

  • Develop essential skills in vision setting, board relations and instructional leadership through applied practice.
  • Explore topics including school finance, legal responsibilities and operations management.
  • Build connections with veteran superintendents and peers for mentorship, collaboration and ongoing growth.

“This program is designed to move beyond theory and into authentic leadership experiences that prepare future superintendents to lead with confidence and impact,” said Rodney Harrelson of RTH Strategic Planning and Consulting, who will co-facilitate the series.

Registration is free and closes Aug. 24. For more information or to register, click HERE.
