YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network at Youngstown State University will host a full day of comprehensive export compliance training.
The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Williamson College of Business Administration. The training aims to assist Ohio and Pennsylvania exporters with navigating the export process, streamlining export sales, avoiding costly mistakes and establishing export procedures.
The training will consist of six major modules: Structuring Export Sales to Foreign Markets; Contract Negotiation and Meeting Its Terms; Product Classification; Incoterms 2020 and Logistics; Export Documents (Air and Ocean) and Freight Forwarders; and Export Controls and Government Agencies.
Training is open to companies that want a refresher and update on export compliance or anyone looking to begin exporting. People who are encouraged to attend include owners, engineers who work on HTS classification, anyone who is involved in a company’s export process and those involved in international sales, export compliance and logistics and shipping.
Attendees will learn through interactive, hands-on learning and receive a certificate of completion.
