Farmers Completes Merger With Emclaire, Adds New Board Member
CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Banc Corp. announced today that it has completed its merger with Emlenton, Pa.-based Emclaire, the holding company for The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton.
Farmers now has more than $5 billion in banking assets and more than $2.9 billion in wealth management assets, the company said in a news release. It operates 65 branches throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania.

William C. Marsh, president and chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Emclaire and Emlenton Bank, has joined Farmers as senior vice president, market president – Pennsylvania.
Farmers also welcomed to its board Nicholas D. Varischetti, a member from Emclaire’s Board of Directors.
Varischetti will also serve on the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and the Compensation Committee of the board.
Varischetti is a partner with Burns White LLC and Varischetti Holdings LP. He is also a founding partner of Allegheny Strategy Partners and is a member of Varischetti Sports LLC, which owns a minority interest in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
