CANFIELD, Ohio – Throughout July, Farmers National Bank’s 62 branches partnered with animal charities for its Dog Days of Summer campaign.

Each branch displayed a list of supplies in need for their charity, ranging from food to cleaning products. Branches also asked their partner charity for an animal to spotlight at their location in hopes of helping to get them adopted. The spotlighted animals were also posted on Farmers’ social media pages.

One of the biggest partnerships was with The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project in Warren. Thirteen branches in Trumbull and northern Mahoning counties were able to help collect a large supply of dry food, wet food, treats and other supplies. On behalf of the community, Farmers National Bank was also able to collect $1,880 for The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.

Farmers collected more than $5,000 in donations for various organizations from employees and customers.

“At Farmers, we believe in the power of community, and that includes caring for the animals who bring so much joy and love into our lives,” said Julianna Begalla, director of marketing for Farmers National Bank. “We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by our amazing customers and our associates throughout this campaign. Thanks to their support, we were able to donate funds and essential supplies to over 30 organizations throughout Farmers’ footprint.”
