CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Banc Corp. announced Tuesday it has added a central Ohio small business retirement advisory firm to its diversified financial services offerings.

Crest Retirement Advisors LLC, based in Dublin, Ohio, is expected to continue operating under its name and current location, where most of its business is derived, according to the announcement. However, it is expected to merge with National Associates Inc., a subsidiary of Farmers National Bank. The transaction closed Monday.

“Since 2014, Crest has helped Columbus-area small businesses create, administer and manage customized retirement plans,” said Kevin J. Hemick, president and CEO of Farmers. “Crest aligns with our multi-year growth strategy by profitably expanding our Wealth Management business while increasing our presence in Central Ohio. On behalf of everyone at Farmers, I want to welcome Crest’s clients and team members to the company.”

Farmers National Bank currently has 62 banking locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, stretching northwest into Cuyahoga, Wayne and Medina counties. The acquisition of Crest Retirement expands Farmers’ footprint in Ohio.

Crest Retirement offers customized retirement plans and ongoing administrative services, leveraging its knowledge of industry rules and regulations.

“By partnering with Farmers, Crest will remain focused on providing our small business clients and professionals with best-in-class and customized retirement services, while adding the full-suite of Farmers’ banking solutions,” said Allanya Frank, vice president and principal with Crest Retirement.

“Farmers’ growing presence in Ohio and Pennsylvania is exciting and offers Crest an excellent platform to grow and provide more services to our clients,” said Rob Martin, Crest Retirement’s president and founder. “We look forward to our future as part of Farmers.”
