CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Bank is overhauling its technology to deliver faster service, stronger security and a better digital banking experience for customers.
Michael Matuszak, senior executive vice president and COO, discusses the bank’s major core operating system upgrade and digital platform integration following its merger with Middlefield Bank, explaining how the investment positions the bank for continued growth while improving the customer experience.
Matuszak says Farmers began evaluating new technology more than two years ago as the bank expanded into new markets and outgrew its existing platform. The new system is designed to provide a more modern digital experience while supporting future growth across the organization.
Customers will benefit from a streamlined online and mobile banking platform that brings checking, savings, loans and mortgages together in one place. The upgrade also introduces enhanced payment options, simplified navigation and new fraud protection tools designed to improve both convenience and security.
The technology investment extends beyond customers to Farmers employees, with new teller and lending platforms that simplify workflows and reduce transaction times. Matuszak says the bank plans to continue adding new features and capabilities during the months following the conversion as it leverages technology to deliver more efficient service.
