MESOPOTAMIA, Ohio – The End of the Commons General Store in Mesopotamia is set to appear in an upcoming family-friendly romantic comedy after filmmakers chose the historic property as one of the production’s filming locations.
Owner and president Peter Schaden explains how producers discovered the 1840s-era store, expanded filming from one day to two and incorporated several locations around the property into the film.
He also discusses the community’s involvement, with local residents serving as extras and helping bring the small-town setting to life.
