SHARON, Pa. – FirstEnergy has joined Mercer County Food Bank’s Carrot Club, providing 30,000 meals to those in need.
Carrot Club is the food bank’s annual major gift program. Organizations and individuals can join at various levels: Seedling, Sprout, Root and Harvest.
“We are grateful to FirstEnergy for joining Carrot Club as our first Root-level member,” said Rebecca Page, executive director of Mercer County Food Bank. “Their generosity will help ensure we are able to keep up with the ever-growing need for food assistance in Mercer County.”
The food bank distributed 3 million pounds of food in 2025, serving, on average, more than 14,000 unduplicated individuals each month, a news release states.
