CINCINNATI, Ohio – The FirstLight Home Care locations in Austintown, Ohio, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., have been recognized for their quality assurance and growth.

Father-son duo and co-owners Mike and Michael Senchak were recently honored at FirstLight’s annual meeting for their commitment to quality care, operational excellence and sustainable growth across their two territories.

They received the Quality Assurance Award, which recognizes franchisees with the highest number of Activated Insights Best of Home Care awards, with consideration to net promoter scores and client satisfaction ratings. The award honors the Senchaks’ achievement in building trusted, accredited home care operations that prioritize care standards, a news release states. 

In addition to a high quality of care, the Senchaks have also focused on business results, the release states. In 2025, their Port St. Lucie territory achieved $1 million in year-over-year growth, while their Youngstown location reached $2 million in annual revenue for the first time.

Maintaining quality while achieving exponential growth across multiple territories takes “continuous training and development,” Michael Senchak said. “We invest in our people. When your team understands industry standards, stays current on health care trends and disease processes and feels genuinely valued, they want to excel.”

The Senchaks were also honored with the Best of Home Care Provider of Choice Award from Activated Insights, a recognition of their leadership in the industry and high client satisfaction.

FirstLight Home Care was founded in 2009 and has more than 300 locations in 39 states. It provides nonmedical home care services that help adults age with comfort, dignity and independence in their own homes. FirstLight offers customized, dependable in-home support such as companionship, memory care, assistance with daily living activities, veteran care and more.
