YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Today in Flashback, Brooke Testa, curatorial assistant for the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, highlights the origins of Schwebel’s Bakery. Founded in 1906 by Joseph and Dora Schwebel in their Campbell home, the bakery expanded from selling bread to neighbors to supplying local stores by 1914.
