LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The Baymont By Windham hotel at 4055 Belmont Ave. has sold for $1.1 million after a court-ordered auction conducted last November.
According to records filed with the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office, 4055 Belmont LLC purchased the hotel from OH 4055 Belmont LLC in a transaction that was recorded Tuesday.
The hotel and an accompanying leased building fell into foreclosure in April 2025 after defaulting on a $3.7 million note issued in 2023 by Hanover Bank of New Jersey, according to a complaint the lender filed in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
In December, the court approved the sale of the buildings and 2.6 acres to Bhavik Shah after an online auction held Nov. 5, records show. The sale did not include assets owned by third parties that occupy the location, including a Mexican restaurant housed in a building that fronts the property, according to an advertisement marketing the auction.
The hotel was built in 1973 and has undergone a series of renovations since. In 2025, the property was appraised at $3.9 million. OH 4055 Belmont purchased the hotel from Youngstown Hotel LLC for that amount in December 2023.
