NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Frank Moses will serve as interim CEO of Forward Lawrence, Lawrence County’s chamber of commerce and economic development organization said in a news release Monday.
Moses, a former president of the Lawrence County Regional Chamber of Commerce board of directors, will serve in the position following the departure of Albert “Chip” Abramovic as CEO after just three months.
According to the news release, Moses “brings extensive leadership experience and a longstanding commitment to the Lawrence County community” to the interim role. As a former president of the Lawrence County chamber board, he played an active role in advancing its mission and supporting local businesses.
Additionally, he worked closely with the Forward Lawrence economic development board and staff on a consistent basis, providing guidance, leadership and support on key initiatives affecting economic growth throughout the county.
“Frank has worked alongside our economic development board and staff for many years and understands both the opportunities and challenges facing Lawrence County,” said Ethan Russell, president of the Lawrence County Economic Development Corp. board of directors. “We are grateful for his willingness to step into this role and provide stability and leadership as we continue to advance our economic development mission.”
The Forward Lawrence board of directors will continue to evaluate the organization’s long-term leadership structure and will provide updates as appropriate, the organization said in the release.
Earlier this month, Forward Lawrnece announced that Abramovic – who had started with the organization Feb. 3 – was leaving “to pursue other opportunities.” He succeeded Ben Bush, who left the organization after about two years to become vice president of public affairs for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development.
