AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The building and property associated with #1 Cochran’s acquisition of the Fred Martin Ford and Mercedes-Benz dealerships sold for $3 million.
The Pittsburgh area-based auto dealer announced during a Wednesday news conference that it would be expanding its Mahoning Valley footprint with the dealerships.
The Mahoning County Auditor’s office real property conveyance fee document lists $3 million for the properties at 4701-4702 Mahoning Ave. and 56-60 Viall Road from Fred Martin Ford Inc. to Cochran MVRE of Monroeville, Pa.
The dealerships will operate as Mercedes-Benz of Youngstown and #1 Cochran Ford Youngstown.
In 2023, #1 Cochran acquired Sweeney Chevrolet and Sweeney Buick GMC and the Nissan, Honda and Donnell dealerships, all in Boardman.
The latest acquisition marks #1 Cochran’s second Valley Ford dealership and the company’s first Mercedes-Benz dealership.
#1 Cochran, founded in 1965, is the 39th largest automotive retailer in the U.S.
The auto dealer operates 36 new-vehicle franchises, representing 20 domestic and imported brands.
