NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Throughout its nearly 100-year history, Scottish Rite Cathedral has generated many reports of “ghostly” activity.

Witnesses claim to have experienced extrasensory phenomena, including a phantasmic little boy running across the stage during a dance rehearsal. Once spotted, the child disappeared through a solid brick wall.

Others claimed to have heard disembodied voices echoing through the building.

In July, more than 300 paranormal enthusiasts attended the auditorium’s first Ghost Night, which benefitted the Children’s Dyslexia Learning Center on the building’s first floor.

Since then, observers have reported multiple new unexplainable sightings that will be discussed at the next ghost night, which will take place Friday, Jan. 24. Doors will open at 6 p.m. For a donation, guests can take guided tours with a staff member at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. and midnight. Visitors can arrive at their convenience and stay until 6 a.m.

For information or to purchase tickets, go to CathedralNewCastle.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the auditorium office and at the door the night of the event.
Scottish Rite Cathedral is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and will make future announcements about related events over the next few months.
