DETROIT – General Motors on Monday reported a 6% increase in sales in 2025, with growth across multiple areas of its portfolio.
GM was America’s full-size pickup leader for the sixth straight year, with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra recording their best combined sales in 20 years. GM led the full-size SUV market for the 51st consecutive year and was the industry’s No. 2 electric vehicle seller, according to a news release.
GM reported that all four brands grew in 2025. GMC set a new sales record for the second consecutive year; Cadillac sales were the best in a decade; Chevrolet’s lineup of SUVs had their best sales ever; and Buick was one of the industry’s fastest-growing mainstream brands.
“Demand for our brands and products is strong at every price point, and we are well‑positioned to build on this momentum in the year ahead,” said Duncan Aldred, GM senior vice president and president of North America.
Other U.S. sales highlights in 2025 include:
- GM sold nearly 700,000 Chevrolet and Buick models with starting prices below $30,000.
- GM grew sales with incentives lower than the industry average.
- GM Envolve sales to fleet and commercial customers grew 8%.
