WARREN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber hosted its Good Morning, Trumbull! breakfast Wednesday at The Grand Resort, with more than 200 attendees gathering for updates on key regional initiatives like those in health care, military infrastructure and economic development.
Josh Prest, executive director of the Eastern Ohio Military Affairs Commission, outlined more than $1 billion in military-related economic development tied to the Youngstown Air Reserve Station and Camp James A. Garfield. Current projects include a $25 million fire station and a new front gate at YARS.
Charlotte Gardiner, president of Mercy Health – St. Joseph Warren Hospital, detailed several ongoing health care investments. These include a $50 million emergency care center in Champion, slated to open in 2026, and rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals in Liberty.
Guy Coviello, Regional Chamber president and CEO, noted the event’s high turnout and cited continued economic momentum in Trumbull County.
