CAMPBELL, Ohio – Campbell City Schools on Wednesday announced a partnership and lease agreement with Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries that will bring Goodwill’s newest location to the Campbell Health and Community Development Center.
The new Goodwill location is set to open Aug. 1.
The Campbell Health and Community Development Center provides resources to families across Mahoning County. The addition of Goodwill will include an outdoor donation center and an indoor retail store, expanding access to services and opportunities for the Campbell community and surrounding areas, a news release states.
“Campbell is an incredible community that continues to grow through strategic investment and strong partnerships. Our families value education and consistently support our students in overcoming any barriers they may face,” said Matthew Bowen, superintendent of Campbell City Schools. “This partnership with Goodwill is another example of how we are expanding opportunities and building a stronger future for our students and community.”
The partnership will also create real-world learning opportunities for students at Campbell Memorial High School and the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy, the release states. Students will assist with store operations and gain hands-on experience in areas such as sales, retail management, marketing and advertising.
