CAMPBELL, Ohio – Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries will open its newest retail location at the Campbell Health and Community Development Center on Sept. 3.

The new store at 444 Struthers Coitsville Road, a partnership between Goodwill, the Campbell City School District and community stakeholders, will create a convenient shopping destination while expanding workforce development opportunities for local students, a news release states.

Students from Campbell Memorial High School and the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy will play an active role in store operations, gaining real-world experience in areas such as sales, retail management, marketing, advertising, customer service and inventory control.

“This new location is about more than a store,” Goodwill CEO Shelley Murray said. “It’s about investing in our community and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to develop valuable workplace skills while supporting Goodwill’s mission. We’re also committed to supporting workforce development across the broader community. While students are an important part of that effort, our programs are designed to benefit individuals of all ages by providing employment opportunities, job training and the resources people need to build brighter futures.”

The store will offer shoppers a variety of affordable clothing, accessories and other merchandise. Revenue generated through Goodwill retail operations, which is more than 85 cents per dollar spent, helps fund employment, training and support services for individuals throughout the Mahoning Valley.

The Campbell location will initially be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, though operating hours may be adjusted in the coming months based on community needs and store operations, the release states.

A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 3, bringing together community leaders, educators, students and supporters to celebrate the partnership and its impact on the Campbell community.

In addition to the retail store, Goodwill will host a monthly donation drive on the first Saturday of every month at the Campbell Health and Community Development Center. A Goodwill donation truck will be on-site to collect gently used clothing, household items, electronics and other accepted donations. The first donation drive is scheduled for Sept. 5.
