Michael Peterson, Youngstown State University

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Gov. Mike DeWine has reappointed a Stark County man to the Youngstown State University board of trustees.

DeWine announced Friday that Michael A. Peterson of Massillon has been reappointed.  His term began Friday and runs until May 1, 2034. 

The governor also appointed Nadia C. Zarbaugh of Poland as a student member of the trustees board, Her term runs from Friday through May 1, 2027. 

Peterson, who served two years as board chairman, marked the end of his first trustees’ term earlier this week. 

His biography on the YSU website says he’s managing partner and president of Global Investigations Cello HR; He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from YSU and played on its football team, and is now a YSU Board of Trustee member. He holds graduate honors from the Wharton Business School Executive Leadership Program. 

Mike has experience in security consulting, human resources and investigative services, including work as a court investigator, intensive probation supervisor and law enforcement officer. His investigative work in sexual harassment, fraud, corporate espionage, workplace violence, active shooter and ethics violations has taken him to 20 countries across six continents, the biography says.
