I am blessed to have a career with the Red Cross that allows me to look in the mirror each morning and know it will be another day where we will be saving lives.
Each day that you head to a blood drive you are blessed to encounter the most amazing and generous individuals, from staff to donors. Donors range in age from 16 to 90-plus, and each one has a story to tell about why they are donating.
These stories range from “because I want to help others” to personal stories of how a donation saved their own life or that of a friend or family member.
I also get to work with the best staff at the mobile sites every day. They exude professionalism and smiles at every turn.
Working with staff and donors as we save lives every day is an honor and a joy. The teamwork, commitment and passion of staff and donors, along with our amazing hosts at mobile sites, make every day special.
