Associate Director, Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is a great place to work for many reasons.
The best way to convey those reasons is through our staff’s own words.
“I love working here because of my co-workers and the management team,” one staff member says. “Everyone is loving and caring, it is like having a ‘work’ family.”
Another added: “I am so proud of the work we do. It will live with me my entire life. My heart belongs here. Not only do I love my job, I also love the staff and the support we get from our community. It gives me the chance to help others and contribute to a worthwhile cause. I love the mission and what we stand for.”
Another staff member can’t say enough good things about the organization.
“What is not to love, from the management and staff to the volunteers to the agencies we serve,” the staffer says. “Not only are we appreciated and valued, but we are family. Greatest blessing that has come my way. There is nowhere else I’d rather be. When you get up in the morning and look forward to going to work, to not only do your job but to be with such wonderful people, then you are truly lucky.”
