People and Culture Coordinator, SSB CPAs
SSB in Canfield, Ohio, is a great place to work because we genuinely believe that when our people thrive, our clients thrive – and we design our culture around that belief.
Our core values of trust, respect and collaboration show up in how we treat one another every day: through flexibility when life demands it, support during difficult seasons and encouragement as our team members grow in their careers.
We embrace work/life balance by offering flexible schedules, hybrid options and an environment where team members feel comfortable asking for what they need. The leadership team is intentional about professional development – whether it is supporting employees studying for the CPA exam, celebrating new credentials or investing in programs like Leaders in Training and EOS to develop the next generation of advisers and leaders.
Employee appreciation is woven into our culture. We celebrate milestones – passing exams, new babies, promotions, anniversaries – and we do it in a way that feels personal. We also make space for fun, from popcorn and slushy drink machines to holiday events and spontaneous celebrations when the team hits big goals.
One moment that captures who we are happened during a busy filing season when a team member quietly mentioned she was struggling with a personal issue while keeping up with her workload. Within hours, partners and managers coordinated coverage, rearranged deadlines and helped her prioritize what truly mattered – showing that at SSB, people are not just employees; they’re human beings with lives that matter.
We are deeply connected to our community through volunteerism, scholarship programs and supporting local businesses. Our commitment to each other and to those we serve is what makes SSB not only a great place to work, but a place where people feel they belong.
