AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Grocery Outlet opened a new store at 6000 Mahoning Ave. on Thursday, and to help celebrate the new location, owners Eric and Sarah Senges presented a $1,000 donation to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
John Muckridge, president and CEO of the rescue mission, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.
“We’re grateful to Eric and Sarah for including the mission in this special day,” said Lynn Wyant, chief development officer at the rescue mission. “Their generosity helps us continue providing meals, shelter and care to those who need it most. Their support began with the grand opening of the Boardman Grocery Outlet and has continued ever since. Just this summer, they completed a campaign that resulted in over $3,000 worth of food donated to the mission. We’re so thankful for their ongoing commitment to giving back.”
