BOARDMAN, Ohio – Grocery Outlet is kicking off the second annual Independence from Hunger food drive to support the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
From June 25 to July 31, Grocery Outlet customers can donate $5 at the checkout. In appreciation, they will receive a $5 coupon toward their next purchase of $25 or more.
Working directly with the rescue mission to identify specific needs for the community, Eric and Sarah Senges, owners of Grocery Outlet, will use 100% of the funds raised to purchase needed pantry items.
“The most rewarding part of owning your own business is that it enables us to give back to the community in many different ways,” the Senges said in a news release.
