HIRAM, Ohio – Hiram College has been selected for inclusion in the 2025 Transfer Honor Roll, awarded by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
The recognition highlights colleges and universities that demonstrate exemplary support and pathways for community college transfer students.
Each year, Phi Theta Kappa identifies the top 25% of four-year institutions using an evaluation that considers everything from affordability and admissions policies to integration, credit acceptance and academic success. This year’s Honor Roll includes 251 institutions nationwide.
“This recognition from Phi Theta Kappa reflects the intentional work happening across our campus to ensure transfer students feel seen, supported and fully part of the Hiram community,” said Jana Willan, associate vice president for enrollment management at Hiram College. “Transfer students bring valuable perspective and leadership to our student body, and their presence is felt in classrooms, organizations and across campus life. We’re grateful to PTK for elevating the importance of transfer pathways and the students who enrich our community through them.”
The college offers several transfer pathways for students from accredited two- and four-year institutions for fall and spring semesters or to enroll in summer courses. Students who have earned their associate degree or students who have earned 64 or more credits may transfer those credits as a block, giving eligible students the opportunity to meet core curriculum without having to take additional general education courses.
All admitted transfer students are eligible to receive a merit-based scholarship annually.
